Nikos Komninos promoted to Managing Director & Alex Karageorgis steps into the Chief Executive Officer role
Nikos Komninos has been appointed earlier this month as our new Managing Director, furthering the anticipation of our growing plans. As part of the management transition, Alex Karageorgis, our current Managing Director steps into a new role as the Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with the Senior Management on leading an evolutionary future for our company.
Nikos Komninos joined us in 2019 as the Commercial Director in Europe. In this new role, Nikos will lead the expansion of Project Agora to rich new worlds, product-wise and geographically and will aim to solidify our company’s position as a key monetization partner for our Publishers in the core markets.
Before joining Project Agora, Nikos worked as Global Data Lead at IPG Mediabrands and Executive Director of ICAP Group, responsible for Strategy and Marketing and later on for International Business. He was responsible for leading Hyundai Hellas in the no 1 place in the Greek market when he was Commercial Director. His experience in start-ups/scale-ups includes the companies Giaola (Chief Revenue Officer), Intale (Chief Operation Officer) and ihavemoved.com which he founded himself in England and Germany. Nikos Komninos holds two bachelor’s degrees in computer science and psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from London Business School.

Alex Karageorgis has been leading Project Agora since 2018. During this period, Project Agora has accomplished to be one of the leading Digital Advertising & Marketing Technology groups in EMEA and LATAM with a vision to open up for local advertisers and media owners scalable and effective alternatives to grow their business. Alex Karageorgis will continue as the Chief Executive Officer of Project Agora with a main focus on enabling Digital Media owners to drive their business forward through Data and Technology.
